Installing Linux Print Scout
Linux Print Scout Prerequisites
- Print Scout can be installed on the following variants of Linux:
- Ubuntu 18.04 (64-bit), Ubuntu 20.04 (64-bit), Ubuntu 22.04
- Red Hat 8 (64-bit)
- Select the OpenID Connect Authentication Provider in the Secure > Settings screen of the Secure Print web portal.
- Enable Cloud Storage in the Secure > Settings screen of the Secure Print web portal.
Note: Linux Print Scout does not support email and Active Directory authentication. It only supports OpenID Connect authentication.
Note: Before the Linux Print Scout becomes accessible for download, it is necessary to have OpenID as the authentication provider and ensure that Cloud Storage is enabled. Cloud storage is a prerequisite due to the fact that print jobs are exclusively stored in the cloud, rather than on the local workstation.
